Old Montréal

Today we had an oppointment with Natasha and her parents in Old Montreal. It was very nice to meet her family. We went to the Cathedral Notre Dame. It's a very beautifull church, with many amazing ornaments and many glass windows. It is dark in there but many candlelights give the church some special feeling. At the altar, everything is with blue light, it gives you a feeling as if heaven is appearing.
After our visit to the church, we met Natasha's grandparents and her dad and brother.
Martijn showed us the way to the archeologic museum. There we saw a very nice movie about the beginning of Montreal, the french people that arrived there, the indian people that were already living there and the British people that tried to take it all.
We had a nice walk trough old Montreal, had lunch and then went to visit some other museum about life in Montreal.
Today is such a hot day, our feet are really hurting us. We're all tired exept Martijn. He still wants to visit this and that.
After a little rest in the hotel, we went for a nice evening walk in the parc next to our hotel.
Tomorrow, we leave for a visit to Vermont. There we see Amy and Gerald ! It's been 8 years since we saw eachother. Michiel has been trying to speek English very hard and he is doing well. Martijn is too shy to speak a lot in English. I hope at home everything is fine.
